Mayor Nicholas Sacco and The North Bergen Health Department are offering free rabies vaccines on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the EMS building, 1814 43rd St. The vaccine will be administered by Dr. Carlos Triana from Summit Animal Clinic.

All North Bergen dogs and cats must be licensed. Licenses can only be issued with a rabies vaccination certificate. The license fee is $8 if spayed/neutered or $11 if unaltered. Cash, checks or money orders will be accepted. Checks must be made payable to the Township of North Bergen.

Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier accompanied by an adult who must be able to place the animal on the examining table.
