How many patents granted in Tenafly in week ending Aug. 15?

There was one patent granted in Tenafly in the week ending Aug. 15, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is one more than the week before. The patent was for a synthesis of novel disulfide linker based nucleotides as reversible terminators for dna sequencing by synthesis.

The patent was filed on Sept. 28, 2016

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
