Why has a national healthcare magazine published a spotlight on a recent NBHS art project? ‘The Nightingale’ is a stunning gown made entirely of recycled materials and featured in the NBHS Art Gala. It was constructed largely of ‘blue wrap,’ the material surgical devices are wrapped in, which makes up a large percentage of medical waste, especially during the pandemic. This was an ingenious way to put it to good use. Also going into the construction of the gown were reams of discarded pool insulation, which was fashioned into angelic wings.
