On Friday, March 6, Zevi Samet, a former Torah Academy of Bergen County standout, contributed as his current college team, the Yeshiva Maccabees, secured a 71-69 victory over the Bates Bobcats in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup began at 1 p.m. at Panzer Athletic Center, marking the first tournament contest between the Yeshiva Maccabees and the Bates Bobcats.

The Maccabees are scheduled to play their next tournament game on Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m. at Panzer Athletic Center.
