The entire region is currently under a heat advisory. A period of heat is predicted for the next few days, with high temperatures potentially reaching close to 100 degrees. The highest heat indices are currently expected to occur today and tomorrow, with Tuesday being the most oppressive day.
Relief is in sight for the second half of the week and the weekend. Until then, be careful and stay hydrated. If you must spend periods of time outside, dress comfortably and take frequent breaks. Check on your loved ones, friends, and neighbors to see if they are experiencing any symptoms of heat exhaustion, especially those without air conditioning.
