Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Township Commissioners are pleased to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, running from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Throughout the month, the North Bergen Free Public Library is hosting a great series of live events for children and adults.
“North Bergen is a longtime, ardent supporter of Hispanic Heritage Month,” said Mayor Sacco, “being home to a large and robust population from many countries who have shared their rich traditions, talents, and deep connection to family values. Every year I am pleased to acknowledge the vast contributions of Hispanic individuals and culture to our community, with multiple events taking place throughout the township to mark this month, including concerts, performances, children’s workshops, celebrations of cultural pride – and of course the huge, lavish parades down Bergenline Avenue. We are proud to be a welcoming community that continues to be enriched by our diversity.”
