The township’s free rabies clinic will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the EMS building, 1814 43rd St. (corner of 43rd Street and Tonnelle Avenue).
Mayor Nicholas Sacco and The North Bergen Health Department invite North Bergen residents to get their dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies for free. The vaccine is administered by Dr. Carlos Triana from Summit Animal Clinic.
All North Bergen dogs and cats must be licensed. Licenses can only be issued with a rabies vaccination certificate. The license fee is $8 if spayed/neutered or $11 if unaltered. Cash, checks or money orders will be accepted. Checks must be made payable to the Township of North Bergen.
Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier accompanied by an adult who must be able to place the animal on the examining table.
